Got to wondering if there's been talk about having the Al-Anon room open for chatters all day on Thanksgiving. In years past, there were always people manning the room on that day. I didn't know if it was an organized effort or if it happened spontaneously.
It was always an organized effort which the chairs did for the major holidays. Of course that was back when all the chairs would meet monthly and talk about things (such as this) that could be done to help others. Back then it seemed like there were always people in the room at all hours anyway. Not like it is these days where people just show up for meetings.

Thank you Kismetstrand for the info. Technically the room is open, although I'm pretty sure that there aren't any arrangements to have a chair in there on an hourly schedule. Maybe some informal visits will take place because people are used to it happening every year.
